NovaTec Immundiagnostica GmbH started out as a small lab developing and manufacturing ELISA test kits. ELISA is based on the possibility to couple low molecular weight antibodies with enzymes, to produce enzymatically active immunological conjugates. This allows the detection of immune reaction with enzymatic color reaction, because the antibody component is involved in immune reaction and the conjugated enzyme can be used for color reaction utilizing appropriate substrate.
